Conversations, uses teabags as a quiet, familiar canvas for portraiture, featuring images of people I wish I could sit and talk with. Some are of those who have passed, others are people with whom conversation might feel too difficult or unresolved, and one portrait is of my younger self. Here the teabag becomes a stand-in for the everyday ritual of sitting, sipping, and sharing a moment of connection. Rooted in the simple idea of inviting someone round for a brew and a chat, the work reflects on absence, memory, and the conversations that will never take place.

These images were created using the cyanotype process.
